CAUGHT INSIDE

This story starts in the early days of COVID when Hawaii was shutdown by the first deadly surge. PCR tests had to be sent to the mainland and it took sometimes a week to get the results back, which just didn’t work.

At that point the National Kidney Foundation of Hawaii took the risk to step in. They worked with a dedicated group of people to create a new type of testing program that saved lives and became a model for the whole country.
