THE FISHING CLUB is about a group of friends who try to prevent their favorite beach from development. They come from different cultures – native Hawaiian, Asian & white – and each relates differently to the land. They might lose their friends and even their freedom as they try to do the right thing.

The story was filmed in the caves, back roads, forests and beaches of O‘ahu. But it could have happened on any island in Hawai‘i and its themes resonate in many places around the world.
